“God enters into what is broken and brings restoration, what is sick and brings health, and what is dead and brings life.”
About Matt
With a history of being in churches where God has brought dying/declining churches back to health and faithfulness, Matt has seen how the power of the gospel and Word-centered ministry bears fruit in the hearts of people and impacts a community. Matt believes God’s redemptive work is showcased in a unique way through church replanting. Throughout Scripture we encounter a God who enters into what is broken and brings restoration, enters sickness and brings health, and even enters death and brings life. Matt desires to see God’s glory showcased through the replanting of Northrich Church in the Northrich neighborhood of Richardson Texas.
Matt enters the replanting pastorate at Northrich after serving 9 years on staff of what is now known as Restoration Church in Southlake, TX, where he has filled numerous staff roles. For the past 3 years he has served as a pastor/elder of Restoration, where he has overseen adult discipleship, missions, and member care. In addition to his vocational ministry experience, Matt has received extensive training in church replanting through an 18-month residency with The Village Church in their Church Planting Program, as well as additional, focused training in church replanting and revitalization with the Calvary Family of Churches.
Matt is joined in his calling by his wife and best friend, Elyse, and their three children: Beau, Jane, and Case.
